Activities at Cuchara Mountain Park

Most activities provided at Cuchara Mountain Park (CMP) are unsupervised in a high mountain environment, containing inherent risks. Park visitors use the park and all facilities at their own risk. NO UNAUTHORIZED MOTOR VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED IN CUCHARA MOUNTAIN PARK. CAMPING IS NOT ALLOWED ON CMP PREMISES INCLUDING PARKING LOTS.

Cross / Back Country Skiing

The lower baker creek trail offers a groomed loop for cross country skiing
You may hike or skin any of the Cuchara Mountain Park ski trails. The park also provides access to National Forest land for Alpine Touring. ALL USERS MUST AGREE TO OUR UPHILL POLICY

Mountain Biking

The Cuchara Mountain Trails Alliance, in partnership with the Cuchara Foundation, have been awarded an IMBA Trail Accelerator Grant and hope to expand biking in the area very soon.

Disc Golf

We offer a full 18 hole disc golf course. The first 9 holes play on the upper portion of the park. The back 9 holes are along the Lower Baker Creek trail, offering tighter, technical holes.

Miniature Golf

Free, play at your own pace mini golf! Balls and putters can be found at the Cuchara Mountain Mercantile

Star Gazing

In Cuchara, we pride ourselves on our dark skies, allowing incredible star gazing. Come on out to the park and explore the galaxy.

Sledding & Snowplay

You may bring your own sled to CMP but you must sled ONLY IN DESIGNATED AREAS. There is no sledding EVER on the ski runs. ALL SLEDDERS MUST REGISTER WITH US HERE
