Driving Directions to Cuchara Mountain Park

From I-25 (Walsenburg and points North)

Exit Walsenburg head west on US 160, exit La Veta onto State Highway 12, turn right onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot

From I-25 (Trinidad and points South)

Exit 13b in Trinidad and take State Highway 12 West. Stay on Hwy 12 for about 52 miles. You'll go over Cuchara Pass. Turn left onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot. **In winter driving conditions it is recommended to take the alternative route which follows I-25 North to Walsenburg (follow directions from Walsenburg above)

From Alamosa/Highway 160

Exit La Veta on County Rd 450, in La Veta turn right onto Oak St until it becomes Highway 12, turn right onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot
