MISSION & VALUES

Parker-Fitzgerald Cuchara Mountain Park is proudly managed by the Panadero Ski Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in partnership with Huerfano County, Colorado. This unique, community-based recreation area showcases how grassroots efforts can revive a mountain destination. Closed as a ski area in 2000, it has been reborn as a nonprofit ski area and year-round outdoor haven for all.

At Cuchara Mountain Park, we believe outdoor recreation should be accessible to everyone — regardless of age, background, or experience. Our mission is to act as stewards of this special place, providing affordable, year-round recreational and educational opportunities that bring people together and strengthen our community.

Our vision is to make Cuchara Mountain Park a sustainable, all-season attraction where residents and visitors can enjoy the beauty of southern Colorado while building a lasting appreciation for nature and mountain adventure.
