Revived by the community, this mountain is an active non-profit ski hill offering a unique, year-round experience for everyone. We're easily accessible off the Highway of Legends Scenic Byway (State Highway 12). Get ready for lift-operated skiing on beginner runs, vast backcountry access, and snowshoeing, all wrapped up in a welcoming piece of Colorado ski history.

FROM I-25 (WALSENBURG, POINTING NORTH)

Exit Walsenburg head west on US 160, exit La Veta onto State Highway 12, turn right onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot.

FROM I-25 (TRINIDAD, POINTING SOUTH)

Exit 13b in Trinidad and take State Highway 12 West. Stay on Hwy 12 for about 52 miles. You'll go over Cuchara Pass. Turn left onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot. **In winter driving conditions it is recommended to take the alternative route which follows I-25 North to Walsenburg (follow directions from Walsenburg above)

ALAMOSA-HWY 160

Exit La Veta on County Rd 450, in La Veta turn right onto Oak St until it becomes Highway 12, turn right onto Panadero Ave south of Cuchara and follow signs to the Cuchara Mountain Park lot.
